Ana Kemple Reeves, Ph.D.

Candidate/Intern

Ana Kemple Reeves is a doctoral student in the Combined Psychology Program at Utah State University. She has been a licensed school psychologist since 2004 and has many years of experience conducting multicultural and bilingual special education assessments. Ana graduated with a double major in psychology and sociology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 1998. After serving a mission for the LDS church, she attended Brigham Young University where she completed a Master’s Degree in School Counseling and an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology. While at BYU she worked in the University Accessibility Center where she assisted students with disabilities in acquiring academic accommodations for their classes. As a school psychologist she has worked in various school districts throughout Utah, including the Jordan, Davis, and Alpine school districts.

Ana’s doctoral training has afforded her an array of opportunities as well. She worked as a behavior specialist with children from birth to age three in Early Intervention programs at the Center for Persons with Disabilities at Utah State University and in the Davis School District. She also received training at Utah State University’s Counseling Center where she gained therapeutic experience working with college age adults. Ana has also worked in the Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Logan where she provided consultation and therapy services to families in those programs.

Prior to working at NBCG, Ana received training at the Neuropsychology Center of Utah where she did therapy and neuropsychological evaluations. She is passionate about using assessments to help parents understand their child’s difficulties and providing cognitive behavioral therapy to address their needs. Ana’s research interests include literacy practices with young Latino children and their parents, culturally based school supports for students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and support for parents who have children with autism.

Ana enjoys living in Utah and spending time with her husband and children.
