
Rita Zimmerman, MS, CMHC
Counselor
Rita Zimmerman graduated from Brigham Young University with a master's degree in School Psychology and School Counseling in August, 2000. After years of working as a School Psychologist, she began accruing hours and experience to become licensed as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in February, 2015. She currently splits her time as a School Psychologist and Mental Health Counselor and enjoys the expertise and balance each role brings to the other. Rita works with people of all ages assisting clients to choose thoughts and behaviors that encourage satisfying relationships and healthy functioning across their life settings. Rita consults with parents and school teams to advocate for children’s special needs, teaches clients how to manage anxiety and depression, facilitates effective couple communication and role division, and gives parents positive strategies for raising compliant, happy kids.
